Pakistan’s Mohammad Akram set world record in Blind T20 World Cup
The Gujranwala-born batsman plundered 266 off 92 balls with help of 42 boundaries and two sixes in the match against West Indies, which Pakistan won by 197 runs.
The highest individual score record was previously held by India’s Jai Parkash, who had scored 173 runs.
Thanks to Akram’s historical vigil, Pakistan posted a total of 366 in 19 overs. In reply West Indies were bowled out for 169. Skipper Zeeshan Abbasi was the most successful bowler for Pakistan with three wickets.
It was the third successive victory for Pakistan after they handed massive defeats to England and South Africa.
